“Women and Men Can get Along!”
Sunday May 20, 2012
I want to thank all the women of God who came out to the Women's Prayer Breakfast with your Pastor on Saturday! God wants to encourage the women of God that you are awesome! Walk in the joy today that God sees you and You are Saved, Christian, Called, Gifted, Graceful, Grace-filled and Beautiful (inside and outside) Virtuous Women!!!!! Your Heavenly Daddy says so… (and brothers reading this please tell a sister this today!) Our focus at the Breakfast was How women should Relate to Men and how Men ought to relate to Women (to you as a woman) …because there is a crisis in the church and our families!
The movie Courageous touched on it powerfully and God used it to inspire me to meet with the women (and the Men on this coming Friday Night 7:30pm like we do each month)!!!! There is a crisis in the church and our families today and it’s been going on in all communities and ethnicities at varying degrees-it’s a church and society problem not just a “black one”…the Good News today is Every “Crisis” can and must be answered and healed by Christ!!! There is a crisis in the church of a lack of men engaged and present in the church and family. We said it affects and effects the women of God... our daughters, our sisters, the wives and our mothers of all ages. There is a wisdom, balance and perspective women bring to men and that men bring to women...we need each other! We talked about how in Genesis 1 God never saw the woman from the man or the man a part from the woman ...We are a team... John 11 teaches us that God wants us to encourage our brothers and not bury them too soon …John 4 we see Jesus and the woman at the well teaches us that God does not just want women to reach out to women but also to reach out to men so the whole city can be saved.
So remember those three keys we taught Saturday
1. Encourage don't Compete or strive against one another or your brothers
2. Compliment (add to the life of) others but don't think you can Complete (be the life for)anybody (only Jesus completes you and me)!
3. Don't Repeat the same errors of the past or a cycle of unhealthy relationships.
Like the woman in John 8, Jesus does not condemn us he instead loves you and me and calls us to a higher life where we break negative cycles and start a new life with positive relationships especially and mainly with the Lord Jesus (Matthew 6:33). It's a new day!
